UIDC – United Infrastructure Development Company leads the BEC Group’s pioneering efforts in developing infrastructure projects in collaboration with leading international developers. With increasing priority for PPP projects in Oman, UIDC is set to lead the Group’s investments into areas beyond the traditional power and water sectors.

The new 80,000 cubic meters per day desalination project in the Sharqiyah region, Al Asilah Desalination Company, is developed, owned, and managed by UIDC in partnership with JGC Holdings Corporation, Japan.

This plant has taken the leadership role in integrating a photo-voltaic solar power plant within an IWP to reduce carbon footprints.
